Students who live in St. Louis County and student who live in St. Louis City AND attend a St. Louis County school district are eligible to apply to Tech. County students can attend a public or private high school, or be homeschooled.
 

Your Tech credits will first apply as Practical Art graduation requirements at your home school. After Practical Art requirements are met, all additional credits you earn at Tech will be classified as elective credit.

If your Tech program has an integrated academic credit, such as Anatomy and Physiology, Zoology, or Construction Geometry, those credits will be applied in the appropriate academic category (Science, Math, etc.).

Tech offers partial-day programs. Students attend their Tech course in the morning or afternoon and spend the rest of their day in classes at their home high school. You can stay involved in clubs, sports, or other activities at your school while exploring and preparing for careers that interest you at Tech.

No, Tech is free and part of your high school’s class offerings. Classes may have some additional costs for uniforms, footwear, or other required gear. Costs of these items should not be a barrier - we have resources to support every student.
 

Our busses will pick you up from a stop near the primary address we have on file (AM students) or at your homeschool (PM students) and bring you to Tech. When you’re done with your class, we will take you to your homeschool (AM students) or to a stop near your primary address (PM students). 

Please allow 10 days for any address or stop location changes to take effect.

If a student does not ride a stop for 10 days in a row, they may be dropped from their route. 
 

Yes! Students can purchase parking passes from the Main Office.

Students are expected to attend Tech on all student attendance days even if their home school is closed.

Yes! Your grade and credits are sent to your home high school and applied to your transcript and report card. Because your Tech class is 3 credits per semester, getting a good grade is important! An “A” at Tech means you will have 3 classes worth of “A” grades at your home high school.
 

Yes, as long as you reside in St. Louis County.
 

Students are encouraged to show off their professional skills through Skills USA competition. 

No, because eligible seniors will graduate from their sending school. Tech does host an annual Senior Ceremony to celebrate graduating seniors.
