Health Sciences

This course fully immerses students into healthcare through lab and patient care experiences, college-level academic coursework in anatomy and physiology, and clinical rotations at area hospitals and assisted living facilities.

Includes credits from  ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies, PLUS up to 1/2 credit Health, 1/2 credit Personal Finance , and 1 credit PE

Additional Prerequisites Essential to Participation in this Program
  • C or higher in all science courses attempted
  • Biology strongly recommended prior to enrollment
  • Students must demonstrate their ability to maintain positive behavior without any physical altercations noted in their school record or any other school documentation
  • A SSN is required by the state to take the CNA exam
  • Students must have a medical physical, proof of vaccines, a clean background check, and a negative drug screen to participate in clinicals
  • Must be 16 years or older by the first day of school
  • The following vaccines are required by our clinical partners:
    • MMR
    • Hep A
    • Hep B
    • Varicella
    • Tdap
    • Seasonal Influenza
