Who can apply to Tech?
How do I apply?
Is there a Priority Application deadline?
Do I need to attend Preview Night?
Yes! This event is not required, but all interested students and families are strongly encouraged to attend.
South Tech programs are real-world, full immersions into careers. They are exciting, engaging, and differ from the traditional high school experience. The BEST way to understand what Tech is about is to visit us. Preview Night offers you the opportunity to fully explore our programs and be sure Tech is the right choice for you.
When will I know if I'm accepted?
We understand students and families are eager to learn about their application status as soon as possible. However, our acceptance process requires significant time to ensure all students have ample time to submit an application and equal opportunity to compete for our limited openings.
All students will be notified of their status in March, 2025.
Do I earn high school or college credit?
Yes, our Tech majors earn 1.5 high school credits per semester. Most majors offer elective credit, but some also have academic credits incorporated. Both a student’s earned credit and grade are sent to their home high school and included in their transcript and GPA.
Most Tech majors also offer articulated college credit and/or dual college credit opportunities.
If a student enrolls in a one-year program junior year, what happens senior year?
Upon successful completion of their current program and recommendation, there are a number of possible outcomes for students. These outcomes include applying to for entry in another Career and Technical Education Program or returning to their sending school. Acceptance in a senior program is not guaranteed.
Can I be enrolled in MOCAP and attend Tech?
What supports are available for students with an IEP?
Students who receive IEP support will have Tech specific support plans developed. These plans help us project our staffing needs and require significant case manager input to ensure student success.
Where can I get more information?

Please reach out to the admissions representative for your school district for information about applications and admissions.
Step 2
Step 3
Applications selected in the lottery will change to "Pending-Documents Needed" in Enrolltrack. Applications not selected in the lottery will remain "Pending".
- “Pending- Documents Needed” means documents from your home high school (attendance, updated transcripts, etc) will be requested and reviewed to ensure any concerns regarding attendance, discipline, or needed supports are considered. Watch your email for updates and notifications as documents are processed.
- ”Pending” means your name was not selected in the initial randomized lottery selection. Selection is still possible, though. Those who remain “Pending” are considered to be on the waitlist, meaning the list of applicants being reviewed for your program is currently full. You will be notified via email if space becomes available.
- An email will be sent the week of January 27, 2025 informing students if they are on the waitlist.
